Scarce and Correct 2-Band Pencil

 SOLD

A very nice Waterman that has nice color and the very desirable "pink" nib.  Waterman color-coded this series to indicate what type of nib was in the pen.  The "pink" nib is the flexible entry to the series. This pen and pencil are both in working order and are 5 5/8 inches long.  The color of the ripple is quite nice and the imprints are crisp.  The color band, often found damaged is clean.  The only, minimal, flaws that can be mentioned are a bit of gold flaking to the edges of the clip and a snip on the lever tab.  The pencil has some brassing to the top edge of the wide band.  I might add, that the appropriate 2-band pencils are not often found.

This is a hefty #56 Waterman pen.  It is in excellent plus condition with a crisp barrel imprint and minimal snips of brassing on the top edge of the band.  The nib is a Manifold that should write a F-M line.   The pen is 5 1/2 inches long with good balance.  It is restored and ready to go.

This 416 (marked 16) is a very large filigree eyedropper.  The condition is super with no perceptible flaws to note.  The pen is a hair under 5 1/2 inches.  The indicia has a group of script, intertwined, letters that I cannot decipher.  The nib is a Fine/Flex nib that will be a treat to use for the writer that enjoys creating an expressive stroke.   It is ready to fill and use.

This is a less common version of the fine silver pens that usually have wispy lines.  This has a thicker silver filigree and therefore is not as delicate as the more common version which often has missing pieces in the silver.  All the silver is intact and the 999/1000 fine silver and Waterman imprints are quite sharp.  This is not often the case.  The number 12 (correct) on the bottom of the pen is crisp.  The pen has a rigid medium nib that appears to be a later Waterman nib.  This is a nice pen for the collector or user.

The blue green ripple is part of the colored hard-rubber pens that were made in the mid-to-late 1920s before Waterman moved to plastic.  This color is the second most difficult to find.  The 94 is the largest pen in the series.  The pen is 5" long and the imprints are super.  Even the word "ripple" which is usually worn, is crisp on this pen.  There is no brassing anywhere.  The pencil is a correct propel (no repel) and is in perfect condition as well.  The nib is a Waterman #4 Medium with a good bit of flex.  You will love this set!
